
So Who Is Nial Adams?
Others have described me as a success designer, visionary and even guru (very flattering if a little embarrassing!!). As a young entrepreneur I started my first business at the age of just nineteen and since then travelled worldwide starting, developing and helping small businesses of all types. As well as specialist companies in the UK and the USA, my experience includes setting up businesses in the emerging economies of Eastern Europe. I've also enjoyed working for major corporations including Lloyds TSB and Virgin, and groups in the UK franchise sector.
As founder and Managing Director of Positive Response, established in 1989, I now provide a blend of consulting, training and development skills designed to help the owners of other businesses tackle issues to help them grow and become successful. I've enjoyed working with clients of all types, from solo business owners to large corporates. I really enjoy working with startups. I centre on practical strategies and tactics that help businesses make money though effective marketing and sales. I also focus on systems and processes to get the best out of every business operation and help liberate owners and mangers from tiresome and often unproductive habits!
I was appointed Development Director for the Better Business Institute in the UK and spent two years under the direct tutelage and mentorship of one of the UK's leading business growth strategists. I currently recruit, train and mentor other Business and Marketing Consultants. My material has been published widely and I've 'appeared' on both national radio and television in more than one country.
I'd like to think my open, less formal style of consulting and coaching, married with an infectious enthusiasm, has helped business owners and managers make positive changes and grow highly successful profitable enterprises. More than just a marketing consultant, I work closely with clients and engage in the personal development of the business owners and managers. I believe totally that people are the most important asset in any business - after all, what is a business without them??
Just over two and a half years ago I founded the Antidote Network - and it's turned out to be the fastest growing business group in Norfolk. Meeting in Norwich once a month it combines great speakers (top names!) with a fun, dynamic and informal way for people to meet and find out about business. Operating my Europe-wide consulting business from a base in rural Norfolk, I still find time to enjoy my two wonderful daughters Victoria and Ellie, outdoor pursuits and a never-ending restoration of my classic car. I enjoy travel and intend to venture towards India, Tibet and the Far East, which are all new to me. I enjoy a great meal and have a weakness for expensive Cuban cigars! In addition, I have studied the traditional martial art of Hapkido for over twenty-eight years and now, as a 4th Dan Master of the art, I travel internationally teaching and developing students and coaches.
